Is Biodiesel Fuel The Answer?

2:51 am

With increasing prices in gas the people get to see an increased interest to consider a different fuel. People who drive will want something better than the conventional fuel. Many of them want a fuel that runs clean and safe in their cars. They also do not want a fuel that will cost more than expected

There have been a range of alternative fuel sources introduced and a couple of them have received great reviews. Biodiesel is one such fuel alternative that offers the general public a good fuel alternative.

A Different Fuel

One important feature that makes Biodiesel a good candidate is that you do not need to buy a new car or even modify your current car in order to use Biodiesel. If you have been using diesel as fuel then you can Biodiesel.

Biodiesel is quite different from regular diesel fuel, but in positive ways. Biodiesel works like any other diesel fuel which is the very reason why you can use it in your car without modifying. In addition, Biodiesel burns cleaner as a fuel, so there tend to be lesser wear and tear and lesser pollution to the environment. It also is safer with less chance of explosion or fire.

Blended

Most commercial Biodiesel sold today are blended version. This means is that Biodiesel and regular diesel are mixed together at different levels. The reason is that pure Biodiesel does not work well with conventional rubber parts found in vehicles. You see, hoses and other rubber parts in the car will wear down over time with Biodiesel use. The solution to rectify this common issue is to mix Biodiesel and regular diesel into a blend.

B100 is sold in the market and yes, B100 is pure Biodiesel. The reason why they are sold is because some car owners have upgraded their fuel system to not include rubber parts. They will get the best benefit from using pure Biodiesel. However, a blended Biodiesel is still better than straight diesel fuel and it can be used in any diesel-driven vehicle safely.

Biodiesel Myths

There are many myths about Biodiesel that make people become critical on the usability. The common issue of Biodiesel breaking down rubber parts of the engine is not really that huge of a deal. It is cheap when it comes to replacing the rubber parts compared to the trouble arises from using regular diesel. Biodiesel is much cleaner and so it will greatly reduce the general wear and tear. This will also mean that you will have lesser servicing done to your car

In the end, most drivers will see that Biodiesel is a head above the rest. In spite of all the rumors and negative reports, Biodiesel is, without a doubt, a proven alternative fuel for all.
