What is this thing called SUICIDE?

Some problem weighs so heavily on your mind that you don’t think you can lift. The intense pressure from this weight begins to smother you to the point you can no longer breathe. But in actuality,there is no physical pressure…it’s all in your mind. It is a mental picture you chose to construct symbolizing the so-called problem. I say “chose” because although it seems (at that point) like there’s no other choice there is!

Other cases do deal with physicality’s. The living conditions may be impoverished,the current governmental system may be corrupt violently oppressive,the body itself may be decrepit permanently damaged,or the death of someone close may make you feel you cannot live any longer. These types of things along with the negative mental constructs they suggest can send a person in a deep enough depression to want to commit suicide. The logic for this is if experiencing life is so horrible,the death life has to be better. But you know the old adage,”it may be logical but not necessarily true.”

What exactly are you depressed about and disappointed with? Nine times out of ten I’ll bet it’s ultimately some decision you made which brought about those feeling you can no longer live with. So you begin to think you’re better off dead and you should just kill yourself.

But is it really the Self you want to kill

First,we need a working idea of what the Self is. I’ll tackle this beginning with a quote from one of my favorite metaphysical teachers who’s famous in a galaxy far,far away:

Luminous beings are we…not this crude matter(as he touches the skin of his young apprentice).

The Self is like an energy system of light which directs,regulates,and processes all your automatic physiological and psychological functions including the subconscious. The conscious thing experiencing the seeing,smelling,hearing,and feeling is the SELF. It is the ultimate Knower and Seer and like energy it can neither be created nor destroyed.,merely transferred - more on that in future posts. The fact most don’t realize is our beings are composed of the Self and Personality. This is how the term individualcomes about. Dual(two) entities which cannot be divided as they are contained within the same one body. Because Self and Personality (there are about seven distinct personalities) are contained in the same body we tend to think of our personality as ourSELF.

Personality is the particular set of likes,dislikes,and aptitudes you picked up along the way. This also means it can be un-picked,altered,and re-programmed. It restricts itself to the particular set;thus,limiting the thoughts,feelings,and actions of the whole Being. Whatever traits are outside of this particular personality set,you will believe you cannot perform them. Yet someone with a different personality set performs them effortlessly. Obviously,the personality is flawed while the Self is flawLESS and without limits.

So if you say you want to kill yourself,it’s not the self you want to kill it’s the personality set that did the thing which caused the problems and made you feel you have no other recourse. Why kill whole being when all you needed to do was program/access a different personality set? A personality thats more in harmony with the Self or at least more in harmony with the particular thing you need in order to overcome your problems. You don’t really want to kill you…you want to kill that aspect of you that caused something you regret or are ashamed of.
